Leading with Brexit

Brexit represented a major logistical trade challenge to European businesses - so, we helped FedEx transform the uncertainty into a leadership opportunity, creating a programme of multi-channel content that delivered big results for small businesses.

Delivering timely help

FedEx wanted to demonstrate they could be trusted to lead customers through Brexit and beyond. So, we developed a be ready, be first, and be heard approach, with a strategy that focused on outpacing rivals to provide clear advice and relevant information for customers. A reactive newsroom approach meant we were able to target customers in the moment of need in response to political events.

Brexit means toolkits

Our journalists and creatives produced a suite of content across a breadth of formats. We developed guides, checklists, toolkits, animations, expert webinars, jargon busters and infographics all designed to help businesses prepare for changes and identify opportunities. This included offering certainty around deliveries into and out of the EU, as well as Northern Ireland in the run up to the transition period deadline.  

The real deal 

The programme was hugely successful, winning trust and influencing customer behaviours. As competitors were battling with huge volumes of incorrect paperwork – with some even forced to stop accepting shipments from customers as rejection rates reached 20% – FedEx had a minimal rejection rate and, for customers, it was business as usual.
